Wag, Live, Love

Wag, Live, Love (Agile Holiday Press, 2010) is a collection of 30 stories about Life Lessons that we learn from dogs, told through the eyes of two Samoyeds, Tasja and Magellan. Each story is accompanied by a beautiful photograph and illustration, and three “Thoughtful Paws” – reflections from Master Coach Ginger Jenks to expand and anchor the wisdom from each lesson into the reader’s own experience.

This beautiful coffee-table style book is available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com. As you will read below in the testimonials from Wag, Live, Love fans, this book makes a wonderful gift, and is a book that readers return to again and again for a quick smile or lift in their day.

Wag, Live, Love was inspired by the two Samoyeds in the book, Tasja and Magellan. Author Ginger Jenks was moved by what she learned from them, and was hounded for many years by subscribers to her coaching newsletter, Building Blocks, to write an inspirational coaching book that included the practical wisdom of Building Blocks. Wag, Live, Love is the result. We hope you enjoy it, and hope you will write your own testimonial on Amazon.com.

Wag, Live, Love was originally published as I Bark Because I Do – Bite Sized Lessons for Happier Living (Authorhouse) in 2009. If you bought the original “I Bark,” this is the same book, re-titled to clarify that it is not a dog training book.

Praise for “Wag, Live, Love”

From Wag, Live, Love:

“This book is funny, it is wise, and it makes you a better observer of yourself and the world. Let it touch your funny bone as well as your soul.”
—Richard Strozzi-Heckler,
author of The Leadership Dojo and the Anatomy of Change

“Wag, Live, Love is a book that works on many levels. The Type A’s among us can flourish with Jenks’ expertise in helping people achieve their goals; dog lovers will appreciate Magellan’s and Tasja’s charming way of understanding the world; and anyone with a heart will delight in the pictures of these magnificent Samoyeds. I rate it a full five paws!”
—Ann Butler,
Durango Herald, Durango, Colorado

“Read Wag, Live, Love and you will feel happier. Practice the lessons in the book and you will be happier. Enough said!”
—Jonathan Colton
Consultant, Lecturer, and Fan of Positive Thinking, New York, NY

“As a horse, dog and cat owner, I have always found animals to be a source of great learning. What Ginger has achieved in this delightful book is to make it possible for each of us to connect on a daily basis with a more positive, more caring, and more humorous way of life. To rephrase an old advertising slogan—a chapter a day will help you work, rest, and play!”
—Richard Bentley,
Director, Results Coaching Systems Europe Cullompton, UK

“This is a gem of a book. It will make you smile, think, laugh, maybe even cry, as you are reminded of what is important in life. Ginger Jenks loves her dogs as she loves life in all its aspects, and through their eyes we get to discover and understand ourselves better—and like ourselves more.”
—Soren Holm,
Professional Certified Coach, Stockholm, Sweden

“I felt a renewed sense of purpose and contentment after reading Wag, Live, Love. It reminded me of the joy that pets bring to our lives and the lessons they teach, if we will but listen and observe. During a career of working in our court system, I have often observed human behavior that is less than noble. This book is a valuable and enjoyable way to reconnect with what is best in us.”
—The Honorable Susan L. Fowler,
Chittenden County Probate Judge, Burlington, VT

What Dogs Teach Us About Happiness and Life

This is a book of love and wisdom from the voice of two fabulous Samoyeds, Tasja and Magellan. The life lessons are shared with fun, joy and insight. The photographs are amazing! The one that will remain with me always is the one of Ginger playing her trumpet at a National Dog Show with Tasja and Magellan singing along. Wag, Live, Love, April 10, 2011

By Amy Bryan

I really enjoyed Wag, Live, Love the first time I read it. But I’ve enjoyed it more as time goes on, as I keep it out on our living room coffee table and pick it up whenever I need a shot in the arm. Reading one of these inspiring stories and looking at the beautiful photos always puts a smile on my face.

You don’t have to be a dog lover to be moved by this book. It’s about life and the dogs are just the storytellers. I love giving this book to friends – it’s always well received. The life lessons are great and the photos and illustrations are beautiful. Highly recommend it!

This book is a gift to the world, March 1, 2011

By karen thomas (PARKER, CO, US)

This delightful book is full of gentle wisdom on life’s events as seen through the eyes of man’s – and in this case, woman’s – best friend. Skillfully interpreted by Ginger Jenks (who is a Master Certified Coach in her day job), life lessons are cheerfully and poignantly taught by her two beautiful Samoyeds, Tasja and Magellan. I smiled a lot, teared up a bit at times, and stopped often to reflect and feel grateful for all my own dogs have taught me. An inspiring read, whether or not you have dogs. Highly recommend that you read!

Dogs, Life and Love, February 11, 2011

By Jonathan Colton “Enthusiastic about great ideas” (NY, NY United States)

Wag, Live, Love reminds us of the indomitable spirit that both dogs and humans possess. While human’s have to occasionally remember this, our four legged friends, never seem to forget. The book is a joy to read. I highly recommend it to dog lovers and anyone who would like to connect with a positive and resonant message about what’s important to us all.

This book “sez it all”!!, February 8, 2011

By Jefre C. Keep (TORONTO, Ontario Canada)

I loved this book from beginning to end.

As an avid friend and huge fans of all things doggy, I discovered to my great joy that Ginger gets it right every time on the way dogs live their lives and love their people.

Their sheer passion for life (and for them, how short it is!), their undying devotion to those with whom they live… This has what’s always fascinated me about them.

I only know Ginger’s dogs from photos – but their eyes speak volumes (as do those of my own Yellow Lab, Reilly).

WLL is a must-read. I don’t often write reviews of books here or on any other web site – but I want people to know how cool this book is – to get inside a dog’s mind? – this book shows the right path! 🙂

Well done!

Inspiring, January 28, 2011

By Pamela J. Arnold (Colorado Springs, CO)

The author has captured most things we can learn from dogs. They do not let anything get them down, they just keep living life as if there are no cares in the world. We humans sometimes take life a little too seriously and that can keep us from really enjoying life. This book reminds us to lighten up a bit and live to the fullest like our dear Samoyed friends do. I have two Samoyeds of my own as well as three other dogs and this book describes them perfectly.

What Dogs can Teach us About Love, January 28, 2011

By MidnightWriter

I absolutely love this book. Wag, Live, Love offers lessons dogs can teach us humans. WLL shows us OUR world seen through the eyes of a pair of fuzzy white Samoyeds, including all of it’s ups and downs. Can a pair of dogs really teach humans how to view life in new and positive ways? Yes! WLL re-awakens us 2-leggers to many of those wonderful things K-9’s seem to know and do instinctively. It’s about love. Unconditional love. Woof!

A Dog Person, better late than never., January 27, 2011

By Roland Koelsch (Westport, Ma USA)

For whatever reason and at the age of 82, I have never been a Dog person. After reading this lovely book, I realize they have feelings too. I now have a deeper understanding of how a dog and a dog owner communicate and how important they are to each other. Lessons learned for all of us. A very warm and fuzzy book.

This book is AMAZING!! And FUN!!, January 27, 2011

By M. Verce “DurangoMango” (Durango, Colorado)

This book is beautiful and fun yet very profound and if the reader will heed the lessons given, life is sure to improve. The photos are gorgeous, the dogs even more so and the book spoken through the eyes of the dogs but with the wisdom of a very sharp human, is an enlightening read and spirited adventure. A MUST. You will enjoy devouring it!
